Elaine has loved Yoga since her first taste of it in secondary school and has teaching Yoga for over 8 years, and has held many booked out weekend Yoga Retreats throughout Ireland. Her experience and enthusiasm shows in her capability in delivering a wide range of classes to clients of all ages and abilities. Her classes are both dynamic and relaxing and suitable for all levels.
Elaine is mum of two boys, a 7 and 1 year old, and believes her experience of pregnancy, birth, becoming a mum helps her to relate to the other mums in her classes. Elaine is a breastfeeding, baby wearing, co-sleeping mamma who loves food, health and Yoga!
Elaine was naturally led to specialise in all things bump and baby after after the arrival of her first baby and hence Yoga Mammas was born!
” As a new mum, having just moved to house, from Tallaght to Carlow, I knew nobody and felt very isolated with my new baby. I felt I needed to do something to meet other new mums and share experiences of motherhood. I also found the huge change difficult to adjust to mentally, emotionally and experienced postnatal anxiety. I set up a Mum and Baby class locally. The classes brought together other new mums and babies and offered great support and confidence in parenting, myself included, and friendships were made that lasted long after the classes had ended.”
Elaine’s aim is to bring mums together through her classes and offer them a comfortable place to relax in, the chance to talk and share their fears, worries and concerns about parenthood and learn and support each other.
” I love the friendships that develop with my students and it’s great to see mums who’ve attended Pregnancy Yoga with bumps again in Baby Massage with their newborns and then on to Baby Yoga right through their maternity leave and after they’re back into my YogaFlow classes and subsequent pregnancies! ”
